Children's Day - Djeciji Dan
On Sunday, May 16, we organized a fun day for children to celebrate Children's Day. The garden party began at 11am. The children worked diligently to plant their own little garden. Ms. Zora taught them about gardening and composting, and answered all their questions. Refreshments were served. Many thanks to our loyal donors. The party motto was: Come to LEARN, PLAY and have lots of FUN.!!!!!!
U nedelju 16-og maja smo odrzali djeciji dan u basti. Proslava djecijeg dana je pocela u 11 sati ujutro. Djeca su vrijedno radila i napravila svoju malu bastu. Uciteljica Zora je pokazala djeci kako se sadi povrce i pravi kompost, i odgovarala na sva njihova pitanja. Zahvaljujuci nasim lojalnim donatorima djeca su dobilai slatkise i sokove. Moto djecijeg dana je bio: Dodite da malo naucite o bastovanstvu i da se igrate i druzite.

In Memoriam
With deep sorrow we announce that our beloved gardener, Miodrag Zakonovic, died on January 1, 2010. Miodrag was a dedicated member of our Multicultral Association of Bosnian Seniors and Friends. In fact, it was Miodrag who first came up with the idea of creating the Community Garden. Throughout his membership in the Association, he always supported new ideas and he contributed greatly to the tremendous success of the Garden. Miodrag will always be remembered in the Garden and will remain in our hearts forever. '
